The Mayfield has built a fantastic team that is the key to giving our residents the wonderful care they deserve.
Team members have been handpicked based on our values – compassion, thoughtfulness, integrity & excellence – and everyone has undergone extensive training.
Our team is led by Tobyn Dickinson, CEO, and Natalie Gill, General Manager of The Mayfield.
After a successful 15-year career in investment management, Tobyn moved into care in 2020 to pursue his passion for improving the lives of the elderly. This involved co-founding Elmfield Care, a luxury care home provider that commissioned two homes in Wiltshire. In 2022, he started Cromwell Care, another luxury care home provider that opened The Mayfield Care Home in Whitby in March 2023. Tobyn is passionate about building a talented, caring team that is aligned with The Mayfield’s values and focused on providing the very best care and hospitality to our residents.
Natalie began her journey in care aged 18, nearly 14 years ago and has experience in lots of areas including residential and dementia care. During that time Natalie has gained a broad range of skills and qualifications.

Whitby born & bred with loads of experience, Lindsay is the first person many of residents and relatives see or speak to. She also has many ‘behind the scenes’ responsibilities that are essential to the successful running of The Mayfield. Outside work, Lindsay loves spending time with family and friends.

Richard is Head Chef at The Mayfield. He has a huge amount of experience in all types of cooking and has worked at numerous restaurants in and around Whitby. Richard oversees our kitchen team and is key to the amazing dining experience enjoyed by our residents!
Graham oversees maintenance at The Mayfield which involves a wide range of activities! He worked in engineering his whole career and enjoys running, motocross, spending time with his family and looking after his young grandchildren!
Leanne has a huge amount of experience in the care sector and has worked in a number of different care homes. She has numerous qualifications in health and social care.
Carla has worked in housekeeping for a number of years at various establishments in and around Whitby. Carla previously had her own business and outside works likes socialising with friends and family.
