Gardening at The Mayfield
We have had a couple of very successful visits to the garden centre with our residents recently, including the one shown in the photo above when we had a delicious lunch in the sun. We bought lots of trailing begonias and busy lizzies, amongst other things, and we had a wonderful time planting everything in the good weather we have had.
Our garden is really starting to come to life with the wonderful colours of all the flowers in bloom. Our residents have lots of ideas for the garden so it will continue to evolve with lots more plants and features to come!
Lots of our residents have been keen gardeners for many years so it’s brilliant that they can continue their passion whilst living with us. Gardening can be good exercise and also has flexibility and mobility benefits.
We always try to help our residents continue the activities they enjoy, as well as try new ones.
